Northern Irish born, J.W. Stanhope self-published and designed his first poetry book during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 at the tender age of 19. His first poetry collection, idk. has since been translated into 40 languages and has touched the lives of many worldwide.

In 2025, after nearly five years since his first publication, Stanhope released his second poetry anthology, O, Papa.

He doesn't talk much and is rarely seen.
